    HDM: Downloading historical from Zen-Fire

    Hi,

Using the HDM of NT7, I'm trying to download the minute historical data of differents periods and dates (all March). After finished I look for the data in the edit tab, but there are no more data added, I've tried several times and nothing.

The same happens when I open a new chart 6 days ago of the instrument I've downloaded and only appears one day.

Before connecting to zen-fire I used IB, but to draw a daily chart I use bars of 1440 minutes.

Also, I've tried to reload all historical data from reload tab of HDM and doesn't works, and there is no log error.

    Which could be the problem?

    Thanks

    joanNT,

Which instrument and which contract month are you trying? Do you have "Get data from server" checked in Tools>Options>Data? Also, is historical data enabled in your Zen-Fire account connection setup?

      LE 06-10 and it's enabled.

I'm using the AMP broker demo account, I don't know how to setup the zen-fire account.

        Hello joanNT,

Unfortunately historical data is not recorded at this time for LE therefore chart bars will only be built while connected.

Please let me know if I may be of further assistance.

Is this an issue of NT or data feed provider?

Historical data is recorded by NinjaTrader and stored on our servers as a courtesy to our Zen-Fire users. Unfortunately not all instruments are recorded and LE happens to be one of those instruments.

In order to receive historical data for LE you would need to connect to a data provider that supports this instrument.

I have provided a link below to the data providers supported by NinjaTrader. This page will go over the types of data they offer as well as the asset classes they support.

Sorry Christopher but LE isn't a futures contract instrument?

I've seen in this page is allowed to load F "Futures" historical data for zen-fire.

LE is the Live Cattle Futures contract. Is there another instrument you are attempting to load that is not a Futures contract?

Yes, historical data is available when connected to Zen-Fire for most instruments but not all.

In order to load historical data for this specific instrument you would be required to connect to a data provider that has this data available.

I have provided a link below to our Help Guide that goes over Multiple Connections.

While connected to Zen-Fire you will however have access to historical data for other popular Futures instruments such as the ES, ZB, YM, ZN, etc.

Thanks, a rapid question: I've received an email with the newer beta version of NT 7, I must reinstall all. Is there any thread explaining how to move to a newer beta release?

                      Thanks again

You will not need to uninstall your previous version when upgrading. The new version will install directly over your current installation and you will not lose any Workspaces, Charts, etc.

Just curious, is there a complete list of which Zen-Fire instruments that you do record for historical data? This list would be a useful reference for Zen-Fire users. Thanks.

Unfortunately we don't maintain such list. Thanks for your suggestion though.
