Increase Decrease Buttons Hang-Up In Basic Entry...

Increase & decrease buttons in the Basic Entry window will stop working after a time...restarting NT will get them going again. Increase decrease buttons in the Orders tab in the Control Center seem to work OK even after they stop working initially in Basic Entry.

I was able to replicate this behavior on my end and will be following up with my development team. I will update this thread as I receive more information.

Just a few more observations on this area...one can click the increase or decrease buttons in Basic Entry fairly rapidly on an initial order and things do not seem to not lock up.

After an order is filled, clicking rapidly on a stop or target a number of times (say 5 to 7) things will almost invariably lock up. Then if you then close the workspace and re-open it, the locked targets and stops will then again be movable with the increase & decrease buttons. And sometimes even when clicking increase or decrease relatively slowly things will also lock up.

A couple of additional observations in this area...as one rapidly clicks the increase & decrease buttons in Basic Entry to move a target up and down the stop on the same trade will also occasionally move a notch now and then....a somewhat similar problem was fixed once before...& once things may lock up, one may hit CLOSE to exit everything which clears the lock-up so things will then work OK on the next attempt at moving things...

In some testing with increase decrease buttons in the Orders tab in the Control Center...I have not seen any lock-ups there so far moving targets or stops rapidly up & down...

Increase Decrease buttons still haywire in B11...

Increase / decrease buttons are still not working in Basic Entry in B11.
They will lock up in real time data, plus in replay and simulation data.
Must shut down the workspace and reopen to get them going again.

Will this be corrected in the next beta hopefully ??...this is a really valuable feature to have.

Also have noticed that if one adjusts the horizontal size of grid headings in the Orders tab in the Control Center...or perhaps moves their horizontal position....that the increase decrease buttons there can then display aberrant behavior also....but then if one resets the grid they will then function correctly again...have not experimented with that a lot though.

Minor problem control center increase decrease buttons

Here is a short video on a minor problem encountered yesterday with using the increase decrease buttons in the control center...problems seem to develop after one may adjust the horizontal scale if the buttons in the grid headings...have noticed things can go haywire here several times after adjusting the horizontal scale of bottons and other headings....find it best to reset and leave at the default scale on all headings...though moving a column to the right or left may not be a problem.

I see what you mean, but I am not having any luck replicating this so far.

Are you able to force this to occur again on your end?

If so, can you tell me which column's size is being adjusted first?

Of course, any steps that you could provide so that I can force this to occur on my end would be appreciated.

Kyle...I first moved the State column adjacent to the Increase column. I also unchecked the GTD column. Then I played with increasing the width of both the Increase and Decrease columns, and decreased the width of the Cancel column. I also decreased the width of several other columns (QTY, Filled & Remaining)...I have noticed this (or similar) behavior on perhaps 3 or so occasions in changing things per the above...the + & - tabs then malfunctioning in some manner.

Added note....today the Increase Decrease buttons have worked OK as long as I left the widths of all colums in their original default widths....though did move the State column adjacent to Increase....it seems that changing column widths triggers some malfunctioning of Increase Decrease in some way...

B12 Basic Entry still a problem...

B12 Basic Entry...targets and stops do not lock up now...but moving a target in Basic Entry will now also move a stop at the same time occasionaly...

Did a clean install...and restored B11 workspaces etc...

Just a note ...have noticed that if one clicks the (+) or (-) tabs in Basic Entry on a target fairly slowly....like one second (or perhaps slighty less) between clicks...that the stop will remain fixed in place OK...it is only when clicking a targets (+) or (-) button fairly rapidly that the associated stop will also sometimes then move (perhaps erratically) up or down.
