Programatically setting Exchange for IB stock symbols

Hi,

I would like to write a program that updates whatever file NT is using for its stock symbol data. I'm tired of having to go into Instrument Manager every time I want to bring up a new stock chart to set the exchange.

Could someone please point me to the file that contains the symbol/datafeed/exchange (i.e. the Instrument Manager settings) data?

Kevin,

There is no "file" as it is stored in the database. Should you want to quickly import your stocks with correct exchanges you can use the "Import Stock Symbol List" utility in the File menu.
