NT7B10 chart doesn't update candles

Hi,

I'm running NT7B10. When I connected to Zenfire, chart didn't update candle bars on TF 06-10 contracts. Here were the steps that I did:

1) Add TF 06-10 to Instrument manager
2) Connected to zenfire
3) Created new chart
4) Selected TF 06-10 instrument
5) Verified End Date (from Data Series) had current date

I ran it for awhile and no price was updated in the window. Selected TF 03-10 instrument in the chart window and price was updated. Switched back to TF 06-10 then price stopped updating

I am not seeing the same behavior on my end.

Can you please open a new workspace by clicking File > Workspaces > New Workspace, then add a new chart of TF 06-10 there within and let me know if the issue persists?

Hi Kyle,

I did per your suggestion and the result was the same. Chart was not updating on TF 06-10, however, it did update on TF 03-06. Here is what I did.

1) Close current workspace
2) Add new workspace
3) created new chart with TF 06-10
4) Loaded template
5) Connected to zenfire
6) Observed that chart was not updating
7) Change instrument to TF 03-10
8) Saw that chart was updating
9) Switched back to TF 06-10
10) Chart stopped updating

Real time data were updated on both Static and Dynamic SuperDOMs. This worked for both instruments (TF 03-10 and TF 06-10)

Please confirm that the merge policy for TF is set to 'do not merge'.

From the Control Center, click Tools > Instrument Manager.
In the instrument manager, select TF from the list on the right, then click Change.

In the Instrument Editor's definition tab, set the 'merge policy' to 'DoNotMerge', then click OK.

I change merge policy to "do not merge" per your request. It didn't work on the current workspace. I had to close it and created a new workspace then created a new chart with TF 06-10 then price would get update.

Does this mean I need to manually merge instrument similar to NT 6.5?
Or, is this a bug that need to be fixed? THanks

I'm happy to hear that has done the trick.

This behavior is due to the method used to merge the back adjusted data.

Once the 06-10 contract is here in earnest, you can set the merge policy back to it's default and all will function as expected.

When viewing contracts that have not yet rolled over, you will need to use the 'DoNotMerge' policy in order to load data.

There may be a potential bug here because after changing the instrument to "DoNotMerge" chart still didn't get update on existing workspace. For it to work, I had to create a new workspace and new chart.

So, you may want to look into this issue.

Likely, this was a secondary issue of a workspace corruption. I was not able to replicate this on my end - after changing my merge settings, data loaded as expected.
