joanNT, what do you feel is wrong by your circled data points in the Historical Data Manager? They appear good to me.

Were both datasets imported with the same timezone selected?

Would you have the data source files for testing? If you could send them via www.yousendit.com to suppport at ninjatrader dot com I would be happy to take a further look.

      Hi Bertrand,

the data points on the historical are fine, I've imported the two files yesterday with the same configuration.

I'll send you the ES ##-## and SP ##-##

both with two files one for minutes period and the other for days period, and I didn't check the option to convert bar minutes to bar days.

      Thanks

Joan, which timezone did you select for the tick and time files to be in while importing? Thanks

Joan, thanks for the patience - the daily data charts fine for me, but with exactly your settings I'm getting error on trying to import your provided intraday data (time stamp 439 is smaller / equal than previous one).

Yes it's true Bertrand, I think this was not the right file, I'll try to download the historic ES of 1min again and I'll try again, by the way do you have problems importing the SP ##-## files too?

                  thanks

The SP has a few bad ticks and one error where volume was ignored, but overall both files imported fine with your provided settings. Where all data (min and day) where present the display matched up when comparing a 60 min / daily multiseries chart using the databox to compare.

Hi Bertrand, I've generated the minutes historic file for ES ##-## and I tried again to insert the two instruments in one chart, now there aren't missing days only a difference between the timestamp of the daily data, i.e. when I select the same start date for both (01/03/2009) ES starts with 02/03 and SP starts with 03/03 and both have the same days data in the historical.

                        Which could be the reason?

I think you won't need the minutes historic file for ES, cause the chart is a daily basis chart. If needed I'll send it.

                        Thanks!!

Ok, so which exact MultiSeries chart are you now looking at? ES minute and daily? Which session templates have you used as you created the chart? To see all available intraday data for example you would need to select either the 24/5 or 24/7 template.

Understanding session and chart data Display

                            Hi again!

I've been doing some investigations with other instrument (ZB 06-10) and I'm not sure how data is displayed in a chart.

                            1) I've looked at session template of instrument ZB 06-10 and It's GMT-6 from Monday to Friday 7:20H to 14:00H
                            2) The time zone imported data, is GMT+1
                            3) I've opened a chart on instrument ZB 06-10 1Min, and the bars displayed there were from 14:21H to 21:00H, this is Ok cause it matches the steps 1 and 2
                            4) I've opened Historical Data Manager trying to match the open and close for this instrument, I've searched for the bars with the same volume as open bar and close bar in chart.

Here comes my surprise when the data in Historical doesn't match with data displayed in chart

Tip: only there was one record in historical with the same volume displayed in chart for the open and one for the close bar. And both data (Chart and Historical) was downloaded from IB today

I've attached a file where you can see the differences, I think I'm doing something wrong, but please could you help me to find it?

                            Thansks again

joanNT, tried on my end and see the same - there's a different notation used in Charts and the HDM for bonds / notes. You should not see the same for example for 6E or index futures like the ES / YM / NQ. Please recheck in your install. Thanks
