Tick chart not working with Barchart.com data

    I only know that you would get the error below on the request I posted. This is an acknowledged issue with barchart and is expected. Please let me know if your issue would be a different one.

      Softturbo, which instruments have you tried? I get timeouts for 6.5 and your're exact error for NT7, this reflects a change in the underlying API and is unfortuantely expected for the reason Dierk outlined.

        I was trying to get data for ZB 06-10. It does work in NT6.5 as long as your computer is fast enough and has enough memory. I got timeout with an older computer with 1GB of ram also. But it works with 2GB or more.

        I contacted barchart.com about this and they say that they provide 3 months of tick data. So 60 days should work. But it seems that they have to activate some setting in my account for it to work. Once they did, I can get tick data in NT7 as well. If you are seeing the same error as I did, then it's likely that this setting is not activated by default. I suggest that you contact barchart about this setting and have it documented.

          I updated NT 7 to beta 13 and the tick chart is not working with barchart.com connection again. I have contacted barchart.com and they have verified that the my account setting is correct and I should be able to receive 90 days of tick data (which I could in beta 11). So something in beta 13 is causing the problem.

            Nothing has changed with B13 in regards to the bars chart adapter, in fact nothing has changed with the barchart adapter since late last year. Your traces show very clearly what's going on:

            -> your request spans more than 1 month which your account is not entitled for. The message marked in red is natively from barchart, please contact barchart support to clarify why it would be thrown for your account. Thanks
