Tick chart not working with Barchart.com data

    Tick chart not working with Barchart.com data

    I was trying to load a 1444 tick ZB 06-10 chart using Barchart.com data. But an error message pops up after loading and the chart is empty. Reloading gives the same error messages. But when I check the historical data manager, the data seems to be there. The does not happen with a zenfire connection.

    The data in your database may be data you got from Zen. The error you are seeing is a native error from BarChart. It means you are not allowed access to that information. Perhaps you do not have this instrument enabled for your account.

      No, I cleared my database and reintalled NT7 with only barchart set up and I still was able to get the historical data. And I do have access to the instrument because I have always been able to get data for ZB on NT6.5.

        Ok to clarify so the same request for 60 days ZB tick data works well in 6.5?

        Which rollover settings are you using? As the June contract just recently got to be the front month used for the bonds...

          Yes, NT6.5 works just fine.

          I was using the DoNotMerge setting in NT7. BTW if I saved the wrokspace and then retart NT7 without any connection, I can see the chart data downloaded from barchart.com. But as soon as I reconnect, the error messages would pop up and the chart would be empty again.

                Softturbo, thanks for those - please try for example 20 days for tickdata on the ZB June, do you get the same error?

                  20 days seems to work. I was able to see the chart. But the error came back as soon as I changed it back to 60 days.

                    Please attach the new trace file from the last day you received the error message.

                          I just tried this on beta 11 and the tick chart problem is still there. Trace file attached.

                            Simple, Barchart.com does not allow requests for tick data which go back further than 30 days. Please contact barchart.com support on that (new?) limitation.

                              Please read the entire thread. This IS a problem with NT7. It works just fine in NT6.5 and still does.
