Creating A New Chart Question

When making a new chart...after selecting the data series...leaving the <Use instrument settings> for the session template...and selecting <None> in the chart template drop down list...I always get just a black chart...which I can then change to a template I have created and the chart will fill in OK (am using a "Globex" custom session in the template here)...but then if change to <Use instrument settings> then get a black chart again.

From an existing chart in a workspace that uses custom sessions I am able to change to <Use instrument settings>
OK...back and forth...

The problem is creating a new chart in <Use Instrument settings>...how to do it ??...

Also...in an existing workspace...after changing an existing chart from a custom session to <Use instrument settings>...then create a template for that...then when creating a new chart using that template, I get a black chart again...which can be changed to a custom session template and the chart will fill in OK....

Now things are working OK...can initially create a new chart with <Use instrument settings>....this is when not connected to live data though....then when connect to live Zen data all of my charts in all work spaces go black (and these were new work spaces created yesterday)....and cannot load a new chart ...but if disconnect from Zen, can load a new chart...but when connect to Zen again that chart goes black...

Tried repair & reset DB...

Shut down NT...restarted & connected...now stuff works OK....black charts OK again now...can create a new chart OK ....

Fussing around with this area a bit more...find that if the Default chart template is also set to include <Use instrument settings>
things seem to work better when creating a new chart...previously had the default template set to use a custom Globex session.
