    Error message re-enabling chart strategy

    Setup: NT 7.0.0.9
    Start a new chart (BGU).
    Start a strategy from the chart.
    Enable the strategy.
    Strategy runs okay. No problem.
    Disable the strategy by unchecking its enable box.
    Edit a strategy parameter.
    Upon closing the UI, the following error message is displayed:

    If the strategy is enabled, the error message will reappear.

    Remove the strategy, and delete the chart.
    Start a new chart and load the strategy to it. Error message does not appear.

    Unfortunately I am unable to reproduce. When I close NT, it just shuts down and no error message comes up.

      Do you know what the message is refering to?
      I get this message a lot.

      In prior instances there were real strategy trades before disabling the strategy from a flat position.

      Is it possible that it pertains to an overnite position?
      I noticed that Account Performance is erroneous. I assume that is because I held a position overnite.
      I am aware that NT7 does not yet have correct overnite persistance.

        Camdo,

        It means something is corrupt in your database likely and you should try resetting it.

        Please clarify exactly what you mean by NT not having overnight persistence. Strategy persistence is indeed available in NT7.

            I stand corrected on overnite persistance.
            I did not have the purchase date as the "from" date in Account performance form. Thank you.
            My notion of strategy persistance came from this line of the Feburary 10 email notice of NT 7.0.0.9 availability

              Should the resetting the DB not help please try and generate a reproducible scenario and we can investigate it. Thank you.

                Database was repaired and reset yesterday after session close.

                Today, after session beginning, and connected live to MBTrading:
                I made a new chart and enabled a strategy on it. No problem.
                I then disabled the strategy and made an edit to one of the parameters. No problem.
                I then enabled the strategy. No problem.

                The strategy made 3 trades, entry and exit. Symbol BGU. Position was flat. I disabled strategy.
                I edited one of the parameters. Upon closing I got the same error message listed below.
                I enabled the strategy and again got the same error message.
                I decided to ignore the error message, and run the strategy anyway.
                The strategy fails to execute trades, and the chart does not display all the prior trades of the day.
                I removed the strategy and the chart then shows the prior trades of the day.

                The failure seems to be connected with disabling the strategy after making trades.

                I will email you the stategy.
