Market Replay Bug (indicators and charts without bars)

Hello,

I found a problem with market replay.

1.- Connect to Market Replay.
2.- Open a chart without bars. In this example FGBS 03-10 1min



3.- Load an indicator (in this example SMA(14) )




4.- Play the market replay ---> Bug

Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce.

1. Delete all historical data
2. Delete all replay data
3. Download replay for ES 03-10 for one date only
4. Tools>Options>Data>uncheck "Get data from server"
5. Connect Market Replay
6. New chart FGBS 03-10 1min (blank)
7. Add SMA(14)
8. Start Market Replay --> no issue
9. Scroll forward to market start --> no issue
10. Play 500x for awhile --> still no error

Can you please clarify what I am missing?

I have tried with more indicators and the error occurs ever.
The bug only appears if the chart is blank at the begining.

You must play the FGBS data (the same data as in the chart. No ES data).

Similar behavior over here as well.

Hard to duplicate, but I can see the price moving on DOM, but chart is blank.

I don't even use the charts yet because they just seem so unstable. My assumption was that you are fully aware of it (it would seem you have to be), so I didn't even bother reporting half the bugs as there were so many.

So if this issue falls under the bigger umbrella of things you are already aware of, then no worries. But if it seems new, then I can second this posters findings. I don't get any log errors, rather it seems I have to close NT and restart. Still doesn't work always, again, I just gave up on charts. (for example, if you rewind the replay tape, and then wait for the chart to kick in, it sometimes will start to draw candles, but it won't do any drawing/painting. That only starts if I hit F5 key, or manually open indicators and hit apply. Lot's of things like this. My favorite is the big X followed by the crash)

This issue is unrelated to anything about blank charts. It has to do with indicators initializing when no bars exist and nothing else. As you play the replay forward the bars build into the chart correctly.

Market Replay rewinding has no reproducible issues on our end. If you are using custom indicators I suggest you try with standard indicators so you can see how it behaves. The X is on our list.
