Sord grid sorting of Monthly results

Please note that I believe there may be a bug in the sort grid.
When I perform a backtesting of my strategy from 2005 to 2010, select the period tab, chose monthly, and then click on the period option to sort by period, it groups all the Januarys together, then the Octobers, Novembers, dec, Feb. Should it not still keep the date in the correct order?

1/1/2006
1/1/2007
1/1/2008
1/1/2009
1/1/2010
10/1/2005
10/1/2006
10/1/2007
10/1/2008

etc
it appear to sort by the month portion first.

Unfortunately this is a limitation as this column would hold very different values. Thus the lowest common denominator is "string" format. Thus all values are sorted by their string value.
