Similarily, if you have windows that are set to be always on top, they do not come up that way initially when the system first loads up. You have to uncheck and then check them again after startup to get them to their on top status every time you load. I am sure that this is a simple fix...

Long-standing bug with Always on Top
This is a problem that has existed in NT 6.5, and it hasn't been fixed in NT 7. If you set a window to be "always on top", and then you change the link status of that window (i.e. change the color that it is linked to in the top right corner), it immediately loses its "on top" status and becomes a normal window. You have to uncheck the always-on-top option and then re-check it to get it back to being above other windows.

Not sure what makes you thinking changing particular aspects of NT would be "a simple fix"...
I just tried this:
- start NT
- open superDOM
- make Always on top and move it over CC to see if it's working
- select a link color
- SuperDom still is Always on top and can not be moved "underneath" the CC
What am I missing?

Try it with a chart... the SuperDOM window acts differently and seems to work. Perhaps you can look at the code that is going on with the DOM and compare it to the charts to see what is different...Originally posted by NinjaTrader_Dierk View PostNot sure what makes you thinking changing particular aspects of NT would be "a simple fix"...

EDIT: Interesting... it seems to work now with some charts. I know that it wasn't working a little while ago, and it is a long-standing thing that I see all the time. Try also setting a chart to always on top, shut down, then reload NT and see if it comes up OK.
EDIT #2: Weird... I just did the shutdown thing and now it seems OK. Seems to be an intermittent issue. I'll try to replicate it if I can.Last edited by JS999; 02-03-2010, 09:41 PM.
