NT7 from NT 6.5 data migration

What's the easiest way to migrate data from 32-bit NT 6.5 to 64-bit NT7?

I was never prompted to migrate data by NT7 upon install and I can't figure out any automated way to do this so I've been exporting individual data files from NT 6.5 and importing into NT7. There's got to be a better way. What is it?

On your first install of NT7 it should have prompted you to migrate. Did you experience differently? On reinstalls of NT7, you would not see these prompts any more.

If you wish to see them again you would have to delete your Documents\NinjaTrader 7 directory after you uninstalled. Then the next time you reinstalled you would have the prompts to migrate again.

No, I never saw any prompt. Does that leave me with 2 choices? 1) Uninstall NT7 then look for the data migration prompt upon reinstall, or 2) import NT6.5 data into NT7 file-by-individual file?

Could you try using the backup tool in NT6.5 and then restore it into NT7?

I tried doing a backup/restore of the database only but I received an error message: "Restore failed. The Backup Archive you wish to restore was generated with an older version of NinjaTrader and is not compatible with the version installed on your PC." Any other ideas?

Go to Documents\NinjaTrader 7\log and delete Install.xml.
