Z order

Not sure if this is a bug or a user malfunction...

I have a total of 10 indicators on my chart with 6 on panel 1.
If I highlight eg the ema I have a z order of 339?

My key indicator plots a volume calculation (text) above every say 5 bars - is each of those considered separate?
I kind of assumed they would all be under the indicator name as objects of that indicator?

If the indicator is running on the same panel as the draw objects they are drawing, they will be all grouped under the same z-order. If the draw objects are on a different panel, then they have independent z-orders.

so how have I got 329 orders then? It's not the biggest issue but just seems strange and if I can avoid it I will (;-)
Two other issues in the latest beta version:
1. I get the attached message whenever I connect

2. The auto connection is still not working. I click NT7 - It opens Tws, populates the username and password - connects and then shuts down. Then NinjaTrader opens and I have to manually connect and run through the connection process manually again

You have ~330 levels, one for each object since your indicator is on a different plot than the objects. You could try messing with the IDrawObject object for them and play with the SeparateZOrder property.

2. Was unable to reproduce. Did you press Yes on Accepting Incoming connection in TWS? Are you on 900.6?

1. yes I will take a look
2. I use Windows Vista and the uninstall seemed to remove the program files folder automatically. Suffice to say it all works fine now without the error message

Niggle

If I disconnect from my IB connection it now shuts it down completely rather than just disconnecting.

Mindset, NT shuts down when you close a connection? Can you please provide reproducible steps of NT shutting down.

It is the IB TWS that shuts down not NT. It used to just disconnect but leave the TWS live.

Just tried on 6.5, disconnect IB connection closes TWS. This is expected behavior.

Suggestion

Maybe that's why I unchecked the auto connect on my 6.5 - way too risky.
I would suggest making the disconnect simply a disconnect. Nt crashes once in a while (by bug or incorrect code, rogue value,etc) and it could be extremely frustrating to have a position open and your TWS closes.
