Hi tomek001,
To adjust the z-order:
1. Select the chart object by left mouse clicking on it2. Hold down the "Shift" key on your keyboard and roll the mouse scroll wheel to change the z-order of the object. The current position out of the total number of levels in the z-scale will be displayed.
For more information about Z order:
Please open the Help Guide by clicking F1 with any NinjaTrader window selected.
In the Help Guide, navigate to the following path: Charts > Navigating a Chart > How to change the z-order (paint order) of a chart object.

questions and comment
Thank you for all your hard work. Great video showing all the new stuff we will be able to do in NT7. Thank you I am so looking forward to using some of those great new things: want to do the overlay of different contracts: great, want to do the overlay
of different time periods: great.
Questions:
1. I like to use the Stochastic_color indicator that I have down loaded from the NT forum Indicator section. Will it still work in NT7 when I switch to NT7?
2. The NT Strategies that I wrote and am using now, when I change to NT7, will they still work in NT7? Or will I need to re-write them?
3. I have a third party indicator from TTM and it was mentioned that 3rd party indicators will need to be re-written to work
in NT7. Is there some link I can give to TTM, so they can access what they need, to make their TTM
strategy work in NT7?
4. I bought NT so I could trade my IB accounts but there is a bug that still has not been resolved and I can't trade
any Futures or Forex using NT. Will this bug be resolved finally with NT7?
5. In the new feature of using a box at a different time, can we also do that using a range bar chart? So if I have a
65 tick range bar in a box and then put a 15 tick range over lay on the same chart, will that work?
6. I just want to make user that I can get globex on my GC future charts. I want to have a 24 hour chart in NT7 and just want
confirmation that is still going to be available? I didn't see in the video how to access that.
7. Just one more thing, one thing I have really wanted is the ability to
A. Put a line on the chart and get an alert.
B. Use my own alerts, will we be able to do that in NT7?
C. In the Market Analyser, will we be able to get an alert when example: the Stochastic x it's MA?
Thank you again for all your hard work and smart and clever new things you are adding to NT7. I am so looking forward to being able to trade and use those new upgrades. Thanks again, RachelLast edited by rehtrade; 04-25-2010, 07:42 AM.

rehtrade,
Thank you for your post.
1. For the most part, 6.5 indicators will work in NT7. For the ones that are not 7 compatible they will need to be converted to 7 compatible code. Please see the "Migrating NinjaScript" section here for some info on this process: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ad.php?t=21019
2. Like indicators, strategies will work for the most part. The same code breaking changes mentioned in the article linked to above will be applicable here too.
3. We have already contacted and provided 3rd party developers with the necessary info on converting their scripts to NT7 compatible ones. There may be some delay in this as they will need to acquire a new .NET Protector version from a 3rd party software company known as RemoteSoft.
4. I am not sure which issue you may be referring to exactly. If you opened a new thread with your results in NT7 we can help you out then. Thanks.
5. Yes, you can have box style on tick charts. You can have one be box on 65 tick chart and then have the other one as candlesticks on a 15 tick chart.
6. Yes, this is available through NT7's Session Manager. You can choose whichever session you want to use. If you want to use Globex or RTH or 24/7, it is up to you.
7A. This is available through the use of the PriceAlert indicator. You can tell the price you want the line at and then the alert will go off of that price.
7B. I am not sure what you mean by your own alert. You can always custom program your own conditions to generate alerts for you in indicators.
7C. Unfortunately you will not be able to make indicator vs indicator comparisons in the Market Analyzer.Josh P.NinjaTrader Customer Service

Josh does this mean you can't open up say 2-3 market analyzer windows and compare different settings using the same indicator or multiple indicators? An example testing various adx levels on 2-3 different timeframes ising 1-3 Market Analyzer Windows?

Hello smalltrader35,
You can open up multiple Market Analyzer windows and insert the same indicator(s) to compare them. Josh's answer refers to indicator comparisons in regards to setting up an alert.
In the Market Analyser, will we be able to get an alert when example: the Stochastic x it's MA?
More information regarding Market Analyzer alerts can be found at the link below.

Hi again Jas,
Is there anyway that we can view these seminars: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/tr...ine_events.htm
after each are done, as its a bit tricky with the hours over here in Aus as well as other users elsewhere so it would be able to watch these for any NT user, although, the hours are not very favourable for the likes of some.
If the answer is No, then can I suggest that NT reconsiders, as it is in the interest of NT to do so for the benefit of its users really. This would save a great deal of questions and human resources being clogged up as well as many questions would be pre-thought of and cuts to the chase from the basics.
Dont you think that it would be a worthwhile thing to allow users to do?
Cheers.
