    bars to wide

    hi,

the default setting of bar Width in nt6.5 and nt7 are very wide ...

    in nt 6.5 I can setting : " Candle outline Black; 0px "
result : Bars have the optimal wide !

    in nt 7 : "0px" not possible ! Why ?

Another possibility to reduce the bar wide ?

    Can anyone help?

I believe 6.5 allowed you to set it to 0 although, the internal value at that level was really 1. With NT7, I believe we corrected that to show the correct value.

But why is the "correct" value to wide ?
Is not possible 1 day view complete in the 5 min chart ...
In other charting software is this no problem.

Why is the bar wide adjustable when bar wide "1" always to big ?

      Please modify this.

Please post an image of what you are referring to since it will help me understand what you are seeing that is not expected.

I think he will ask.. It is possible adjust candle with to 0.5 like in the picture showing ? almost all charting software have this feature!

          Minimal candle width 1

          Candle width 0.5

Unfortunately this is not possible since 1 represents 1 pixel and can't be smaller than that.

Radiculus. Same problem as in NT 6.5? 1 pixel?!! Its not true. 1 pixel could be candle outline, but for sure not candle width... its much more than 1 pixel.

I agree, having a narrower candle would be helpful.

Take a look at hemlock ThinCandles script: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ad.php?t=14208

I am unable to get the ThinCandles file to import into Ninja 7 Message says "Import failed. The NinjaScript Archive file may contain duplicate method names that already exist on your pc or there is a required file missing on either your PC or in the import archive"

Has anybody got this to work on Ninja 7. Normally I can import the files and look at the compilation issues but obviously this is not possible in this case.

It works only with Ninja 6.5

                          MicroAl,

Please try these steps at the bottom of the article for when you run into import errors: http://www.ninjatrader-support2.com/...ad.php?t=21019

                          Candara,

The script is likely 6.5 compatible only. If so, it would require some tweaks to make it 7 compatible.

Try putting the attached file into your ..\NinjaTrader 7\bin\Custom\Type directory. Exit and re-enter NT7 and make sure to recompile. You should then see two new chart styles (Thin Candles and Thin Candles w/ outline). The attached file contains modified versions of the standard CandleStyle class that is in @ChartStyles.cs. These modified versions will create thinner candles. I wouldn't mess with the older ThinCandles indicator, this is a better solution. Let me know if you have questions...

                              Slingshot Ninja 7

Thanks hemlock it works great. Nice to see that it works on the indicators as well.

Does anyone know if there is a Ninja 7 version for Roonius' Slingshot indicator?

Also I know there is information about some code breaking changes in Ninja 7 but is there any information anywhere about the actual changes in code between between Ninja 6.5 and Ninja 7 relating to multiseries indicators? Ie what areas of the code do I have to look at to make the 6.5 indicators compatible? I know just enough C# to be dangerous
