    Download replay data

    Hello,

I have problems downloading replay data.

Whatever I do (disconnect from all accounts, etc)

    I get the following dialog:

You cant' download replay data while the market replay recorder is turned on. Please turn it off.

But I am not connected to Market Replay.
The message comes also when disconnected and when connected just to my IB account.

Please advise how to download market replay data

    regards

The error message suggest, that the market replay recorder is still turned on (Tools->Options->Data). Please turn if off.

I'm trying replay for the first time on NT7.7
I do not have the same problem - Connecting to replay data works ok, but when the connection to replay data is made the Replay Control does not appear.

Perhaps I just don't know where to find it.

      Thanks for any suggestion.

        LarryS,

Perhaps you have it opening on a separate monitor?

I cannot find it on either monitor. The OS is win7 & hovering over the NT icon in the task tray should show any NT windows that are open but only the control center and a single chart window are there.

The chart does populate with a few bars but there is no apparent way to start or control the replay.

            LarryS,

Replay Controls do not have their own item in the taskbar. Please try different monitor configurations. Move the extended monitor to the left/right/up/down and look around. It should be somewhere. If you really can't find it, you can try deleting all your workspaces and trying again. If you still can't find it, please try reinstalling NT along with a deletion of Documents\NinjaTrader 7.

A thorough search of both screens did not find the replay control.
I shut down NT then tried to rename Documents\NinjaTrader 7 (preparatory to a new installation) and found it was in use and could not be renamed.

A check of the Task Manager showed that NT was still running even though I had closed it. I stopped this "extra" copy of NT using the Task Manager & restarted NT and now the Replay Control works.

              Questions:
How can it happen that after NT is exited it is still running as shown by the Task Manager?

Is it possible for the Replay Control to have it show in the taskbar? This would be useful.

                LarryS,

It could have been that NT did not close properly so you get a "ghost" one.

                Thank you for your suggestion.
