    Multiple monitor bug

NT has great trouble keeping track of extra monitors.

For instance, I open Vendor Licensing screed and move it to my second monitor. I close and open NT and open VL and NT remembers VL was on the second monitor however puts it up so high that I can not see/click Authorize. Now I need to disconnect the 2nd monitor...reboot Vista....open NT so it can only use primary monitor...reconnect the 2nd monitor and try again....really annoying

I suggest that NT by default open all screens/dialogs on the primary monitor rather than trying to keep track of what is where and messing it up.

    edit.....
was able to avoid reboot by grabbing VL corner and resizing which brought whole VL into screen.

Still, NT has numerous problems with keeping track of screen. Another example is the MR dialog/slider which disappears well off monitor when you swap primary and secondary monitors. No way to get it back without switching monitors back and moving MT dialog....pain in....

Although I find some of the saved or default window positionings to be annoying, there is a workaround...

If you can locate the task bar entry for the window in question, you can right click on it and select "Move" and press one of the keyboard arrow keys and then use the mouse to position where you want the window and lastly click the left mouse button to make the move take place.

Note that if the window shows up as Minimized (i.e., "Minimize is grayed out") when you do the right click, you will want to do a "Restore" operation first.

Thanks KBJ....worked well for the VL....will try next time MR problem occurs

I had been using Move however not the arrows...instead with mouse which works for other apps...not NT

That nuance used to get me too (sometimes mouse seemed to work, sometimes not.)

Trial and error showed me that you have to make sure the windows is Restored (not Minimized) and then press an arrow key first. Then the mouse will work to rapidly complete the move.

Of course if your mouse is disabled, you can use just the arrow keys and press Enter when you're done moving the window, but this is much, much slower.

          right....clearly a bug IMHO

better if the default is to open center screen on primary and then you can move it wherever

I wouldn't want it to default to positioning all windows on the primary monitor all the time... just if the window had been placed on the non-primary monitor and only if on restarting NinjaTrader if that monitor was then missing from the system... and unfortunately there's no way to tell if this is the case.
