bug but can't reproduce

Hi

I keep getting the t&s window going all red - telling me every trade is below the bid. ( my properties preference)
If I change a property it seems to 'reset' but sometimes only for a short while.
I had this before and changed my IB TWS to the one you recommended but now I get it on 2 different machines - one using XP the other Vista.

If I close the T&S window it usually rights itself as well.

There is no pattern to this behaviour - it just happens in high volume periods, low volume periods - etc.

My symbol is FDAX 03-10 5 minutes.

It can go hours working just fine then I have to close and open 5 windows in 10 mnutes.

Interesting. Can you please try in 6.5 to ensure it is not your data feed?

Actually it was reproduced in my replay which is reassuring in one way.
BUT if I rewind it doesn't happen when I replay the same data!
How weird is that?

Yes it is a tricky one.
No problems today at all - I will see if I can pin it down to something.
Looked in the trace files and nothing seemed to be there pointing to an error/overload,etc.

I was wondering if I can find a replay file that this event happens on - could I send the whole shebang to you?? Hopefully you could reproduce it then?

Here's the problem. The freezing happens very occasionally ( say 3 times a week).
It always happens when activity is very high on the instrument eg economic figures.
It only happens on FDAX 03-10.

I have it set to only show me trades >= 5 lots so it's not showing every single trade.

My connection is with IB.

Perhaps you can reproduce it your end?

How does this happen?

Just reviewing some screen shots I made of trades the other day and came across this.

Could have happened if your PC clock decided to sync to some server all of a sudden and if your PC clock was that far out of sync. I suggest you keep the PC clock synced on a regular basis.

I have just started using Dimension4
and I have been surprised at how often and by how much the pc clock is out.
(Excellent software BTW)
It hadn't occurred to me that it would upset the T&S, etc which is obvious now you have pointed it out ;-)

Any hints

Right I finally managed to record a situation with the T&S.
As you can see the T&S on the Dax is recording about 2-3 mins worth of data as Above Ask ( Green background).
But my own version of T&S which has the same parameters does not record these trades as above the ask.

So I am guessing that your T&S code is different but clearly something is up

The T&S does sort itself out eventually (beta 10) but I would love to know what is causing this.

I hear talk about race conditions - would that be the issue? I also notice that my version isn't recording every trade in this situation.
