Todays:

Chart (drag&drop), small thing:

- Add 2 intruments to chart.
- Drop the bottom to the top.
- Drop back to bottom.
Result: The price marker is at the right side.

- Add 2 intrument to chart.

Result: The price marker is at the left side.

Suggestion: it could recognise, that there is only 1 intrument and
set: Scale justification = Right.

Chart(strategy enabled):
There could be another message (eg. warning) if 1 or more strategy
added to chart and all are disabled and press ok. I was looking for 60
minutes why the strategy did not run.

Chart, object, etc: become good.

Depending on where you drop it in the panel decides which panel it goes to, as well as what is already preexisting on that panel.

If you drop it to the left side, it adds it to the left scale, if you drop it to the right side, it drops it on the right scale.

Historical data and logs:

If i select instruments list (not instrument) and download historical data, then

- IB: it will throw alert in the log if download limit is reached.
- IQFeed: it will throw alert in the log if symbol is ivalid. --> InvalidSymbol.png

The problem: If i start download (which is another thread, this is good) i will not watch and work with anything else. And of course do not watch the statusbar continously (especially as the control center is in the back). When it throw alert (the download still go on), you already don't know what instrument talking about. And don't know which was succesful.

Furthermore: as i experince the download of the instrument within instrument list will not be downloaded in Alphabetical (as in instruments list), but will download as it is added in the database.(?)

It is very good to that i can download different instruments lists, but in case of alert like this, the usage is very difficult.

Suggestion 1: please write more alert information to the log.

Suggestion 2: please write to the log the succesful download information.

Information: instruments list, instrument, start date, end date, selected intervals(tick/minute/day), selected data types(ask/bid/last)

I know it is not a bug, but i think it would be useful/helpful and maybe it is not a huge work to implement it. If it is possible please add to NT7!

To know what is successful you would have to check the Historical Data Manager edit tab. Thank you for the suggestions though. I have added it to our feedback list.

Yes, you are right, but if you have 6 instruments in the instruments list and check all 6 checkbox on download tab, and you get alert message from IB, it is inable to click through the whole tree.

I am not quite following what you mean by not being able to click through the whole tree. In your Edit tab you would have nodes for any data that was downloaded/available. If there is no node for the instrument then that instrument was not downloaded.

Yes, on Edit tab, you can view and edit. All these are simply if you have no dowloaded historical data of the intrument. It is easy to see, if there is any in the list on edit tab, or not. In ths case what you wrote is correct.

Just eg.:
You have more instrument lists, more intruments in these, and all of them have downloaded historical datas. In this case if you start download last two weeks (1 minute) from IB, later IB will throw limit warning - and you even did not watch, because you were not at your PC. In this case it takes too much time to search where the download stops. Thats why i said that log is helpfull.

Quantity on Executions/Trades/Orders TAB:

it would be good, if "Quantity" cells in the grid used number formatting, which is set in regional settings of OS. (Bigger number is hard to read.)

Thanks for the feedback. On high numbers it should switch to something like 0.01M for 10000.

I am not sure that this is a good idea. Because if quantity to be bought is counted and that is not a round number, then you will not see the exact result after the back test, which would be very bothering. I think, it would be enough to use digit groupping symbol, which is set on the PC. It would be easier to read and the exact result would be seen, as well.

It works exactly the same way it has worked in NT versions for a very long time. Likely nothing will be changed here at this point in time. Thank you for the feedback though. If you have odd fill values, it will show full granularity in the numbering.
