7.0.06 beta & IQfeed 4610

Hi, I have been running NT 7006 with IQfeed 4703 and have been having problems with login and performance.

I spoke to IQ support and then tested whether the IQfeed was the problem.It seems not.

IQ support told me that as long as I had 32bit not 64bit I could use the older IQ 4610 software instead of 4703(which is beta)

great I thought. Only problem is it doesn't work. What happens is I get an IQconnect error message (createstartupmutex failed)which according to a web search and the IQ support guy is not actually their problem this time. Sounds crazy but it only comes up when there are multiple instances of a IQ32.dll in C: programfiles/DTN/IQfeed-however a search shows there is correctly only one instance of this file on my pc. Also, I launched the IQlink using the Start/All programs link and it worked ok.
So what to do? I deinstalled NT 7006 using the normal utility and reinstalled.After a reboot I still have the same problem.

If I click on the error message to acknowledge it, I am told there can be only one instance of IQfeed,and the NT control panel shows its trying to connect to IQ.however, it can say this for 10 mins plus as it never gets to connect.

two questions please:
1) does NT 7006 for 32bit work with IQ 4610?
2) Can you offer me any help with why I cannot connect?

NT 7.0.0.6 requires IQFeed 4.7.0.3 as documented here: http://www.ninjatrader.com/webnew/support_IQFeed.htm

There is no way around. Sorry.

Please send bug reports on all issues to DTN, so the bugs get fixed as soon as possible. Thanks

Hi Dierk,thanks for your reply.
After several conversations with DTN support I have the following conclusions:
1) You are right of course that only 4703 will work with NT7006.Not all DTN support staff understand this. I was mislead by the first DTN guy who said 4610 would work with 7006.I removed 4703 and reinstalled 4610.Thats when the error message came up.
However it took me a couple of re-installs of 4703 to get rid of the error message and poor connection. Eventually I was sucessful in installing 4703 after I had made sure all 4610 was deleted (including the c/programfiles/dtn/iqfeed folder) and did a reboot in between deleting 4610 and reinstalling 4703

2) I still have the autoconnect being forgotten on login even though I have ticked the box each time.I understand the next release IQ4704 will solve this problem but it is not released yet

3) I still have performance problems between loading charts (in comparison with NT7005 and IQ4610). Its taking longer with NT7006 and IQ4703. I will report this in a separate forum post
