NT7B6 error when deleting historical data

    NT7B6 error when deleting historical data

    Hi,

    In NT7B6 in "Historical data manager" when in "Edit" if you try to delete one entire day it gives the following error :
    "NinjaTrader has detected a problem and needs to shut down. Information has been writtem to the trace file. ....."

    In the trace file it appears :

    Adriano, is this a reproducible issue? If so, can you list the exact steps that lead to the error?

      Austin,

      Sure, my previous post more or less already describe the steps, but a bit more detailed and organized :

      1) Go to "Historical data manager"
      2) Go to "Edit"
      3) Open an instrument, p.ex : ES 03-10
      4) Select p.ex : Last > Tick > December 2009
      5) Select a day and right click on it, ex: 14-12-2009
      6) Select delete
      7) Then you receive the message I have described in the previous post with the trace file content I have sent.

        Hi there, I just finished reinstalling NT7 on my machine so I just downloaded a full week's worth of data for TF 03-10 and followed your steps. The dialogue box showed up asking me if I really wanted to delete the data and I clicked yes. There wasn't an error, and the data was successfully deleted. I'll ask one of my coworkers to try this out as well.

          My coworker reported an error, but it was different than yours. His data file was being read by another process (probably some other part of NT), so the NT historical data manager couldn't access it.

          Anyways, I'd like to try again with your data. Could you please zip up your My Documents\NinjaTrader 7\db\tick\ES 03-10 folder and send it to support at ninjatrader dot com attention 'Austin - thread 24265'. Thank you.

                  Adriano, I imported your data and ran the test again. It successfully deleted the data without any errors. You may want to try a reinstall of NinjaTrader if the problem still persists.
