    ATI interface

    I installed NT7 beta today, opened it up, looked around and closed the program.

    I then opened 6.5 and fired up my traders. However, eSignal gave me an error that it could not connect to Ninja. This error must be related to the NT7 install, as I have not seen this message before today.

    Any ideas?

    May be there is a conflict in the ATI dll "NTDirect.dll" which is installed by NT in the windows system directory.

    Please try this:
    - uninstall NT7
    - uninstall NT6.5
    - manually delete any instance of NTDirect.dll which you still would find on your hard driver
    - reinstall NT6.5 only
    - don't install NT7 for now
    - see if that resolved the issue

      I uninstalled and then reinstalled 6.5 and everything seems to be working as it should.

      I then tried NT7 and that appears to be working as well.

      So to recap, I could not get either 6.5 or 7 to accept orders from eSignal if I installed 6.5 first and 7 second (6.5 worked fine before installing 7). But, by unistalling and reinstalling 6.5, without uninstalling 7, both work. I realize that what I did is not what you suggested, but my hunch was this would fix the problem.

      If you would like me to test what you suggested let me know and I will test it this weekend. I was just trying to get back running for live trading tomorrow morning. I didn't want to have to reset up the connections and instrument manager.

        Glad you got it working. No need for further testing for now.

        Also: no need to touch the account connections and instrument manager setup if you went through instructions below, since all your data would be maintained.
