    Frozen when activating record data

    1. Nijatrader got frozen when I chose to record the data. I remember that I chose all the three options hit the save button in the dialogue box shown to me. This led to crash of NT and when I restart the NT7. I get an error message and I unable to log in. I don't know where the log and trace files are located to send you.

    2. Flat PnL, area is not displayed in my FX pro.

I have done a couple of NT scripts in NT7. Can I retrive them back?
Should I reinstall NT7 to work again?
    Attached the error message.

malmaa, you can retrieve your indicators from My Documents/NinjaTrader 7/bin/custom/indicators. The indicators with the @ symbol in front are the ones included with NinjaTrader and you do not need to back those ones up.

We recommend not modifying anything inside the indicator folder, but you can copy files out of there for backup purposes.

malmaa, if you are able to reproduce the error, could you please list the exact steps (for example: 1) start NT 2) new chart 3) connect Market Replay 4) etc) that lead to the freeze?

If you are unable to start NinjaTrader, you can delete the workspace files from My Documents/NinjaTrader 7/workspaces.

              Austin,

I have deleted the workspace files. But still I am unable to get into NT.
I get the same error message.

Shall I reinstall NT7 and try?

Yes, a reinstall of NT7 is probably the best way to go.

                1) Backup anything important from the My Documents/NinjaTrader 7 folder (indicators/strategies/etc)
                2) Remove NinjaTrader from Control Panel -> Uninstall NinjaTrader
                3) Delete the entire My Documents/NinjaTrader 7 folder
                4) Install NT7 again

                  Austin,
I have reinstalled NT7 exactly as you mentioned.
                  Steps done before the crash
                  Tools>Options>Data>Account Grps
                  Chose Assigned accounts as
                  Backtest
                  replay
                  Sim101
                  selected all three
                  given Account group name "sree"
                  Chose option "Save"

This led again to the same message that I have attached.
                  trace files are also attached.
I am reinstalling NT7 again as I am unable enter into it again.

This is an issue related to your workspaces. Could you please zip and attach the content of the directory <my documents>/NinjaTrader7/workspaces and let me know which workspace was active at the time you experienced the crash. Thanks

I just performed these of your steps on your workspaces:
                        >>>
                        Tools>Options>Data>Account Grps
                        Chose Assigned accounts as
                        Backtest
                        replay
                        Sim101
                        selected all three
                        given Account group name "sree"
                        Chose option "Save"
                        >>>
All went well. No issue. What are doing differently?
