    Abort optimization and crash

    Hello,
    I aborted a walk-forward optimization and NT7 crashed.
Now I can not open NT7 nor NT6.5
    I attach the trace log.

Firstly I have removed NT7 from the PanelControl of Windows.
Then I have deleted all its persistent folders.

Later I have installed NT7 again but the problem continues.
    I cannot open NT7 nor NT6.5.

    It appears that looks bad

Someone will follow up tomorrow. Also, could you provide a translation to the following which was inside the trace file you attached.

      Thx.

I believe they would indicate that something is wrong with your .NET installation since NT is unable to retrieve any information about your PC processor. I suggest trying this:
        - uninstall NT6.5 and NT7
        - uninstall any .NET version on your machine
        - reinstall .NET 3.5 (for NT7), .NET 2 needed for NT6.5 should come with it
        - reinstall NT6.5 and NT7

I uninstalled NET2.0, NET3.0 and NET3.5. Also all the patches for Windows XP.
More than four hours uninstalling and installing components ... for nothing.

NT6.5 and NT7 keep giving the same error. Is there any explanation?

The only solution seems to reinstall the entire operating system.

The exception means, that the .NET runtime is unable to retrieve the processor information from your Windows system. This would indicate that your system is corrupted. A system restore may resolve the issue.

Have you turned on Windows Data Execution Prevention (DEP) for NinjaTrader? If so, you might try turning that off temporarily (search Google for a howto for your particular OS version). If that fixes it, then there is a software bug somewhere in the stack.

Please see my post below: This is an issue within .NET runtime and beyond NT's control.

I didn't know about DEP. Thanks.

I tried uninstall and install NinjaTrader, NET, WinXP's patches, motherboard's drivers, system restore, ... unsuccessfully.
I also tried this tool to removal NET:

At last, I had to reinstall the entire operating system ...

Before you tried a complete system re-install you could try a system restore and reset your system to a state where it has been working last time.

                      Hello Dierk,
yes, I did it. But it didn't work.

Then the only option coming to mind would be re-installing that machine. Sorry...
