B5 and B6 - Plot Execution on Backtest

I have a strange situation where I cannot see the plot of the executions of a strategy on the chart in the Strategy Analyzer on my TICK charts.

When I click the chart tab and look at the chart object properties it shows "Plot Executions = Do Not Plot"

Setting this to TextAndMarker or MarkersOnly does nothing. The Default value for my TICK charts data series objects is set to "TextAndMarker" ... why strategy Analyser is not plotting on ticks has me stumped.

The Trades tab shows executions..the chart tab does not

Can you please try with SampleMACrossOver and see if you get the same results? What about other chart types like minutes or daily?

I''ve the same problem using B15, daily data, and sample MA crossover. I don't see any execution plot when I backtest.
May be I din't see an option somewhere, but I spend some time looking for it and didn't find anything.

Can you please check if the historical data you requested is available. Do you see any historical data if you select the Chart-tab? Make sure the requested historical data is available when performing a back test. More information regarding back testing can be found at the link below.

If the issue remains, please tell me what settings were used in the back test.

Sorry what I mean is that I don't see any textmarker in the chart for each trade in the backtest. (here a simple MA cross)
I know how to activate them in a plain chart, but not for the chart included in the backtest

Can you please tell me what version you have installed. You can check this at Help-->About. Make sure you have beta version 7.0.0.16 installed.

Please create a new daily chart via File-->New-->Chart. Once you set the period type to Day, check what setting is used for 'Plot executions'. If it is set to DoNotPlot, please change it to TextAndMarker. Subsequently right click in the grid of the Data Series window and select 'Set Default For Day Period Type'.

Perform a new backtest and check if the issue persists.

I've followed all your steps and it didn't work.
Then I tried to change a minute chart to "plot text and marker" (it was on "donotplot" before) and reperformed a backtest on daily data.
I could then see the execution plot in the chart.
So looks like the plot in the backtest only depends of the option you choosed for your minutes data.
