DataSeries in multi-instrument indicators

Hello,

if in a multi-instrument indicator with two instruments, I create two DataSeries to store the Close of each bar of each instrument, but the instruments have not the same number of bars, what's happen ?

I guess that the DataSeries objects declared in a multi-instrument indicator are synchronized only with the first BarsArray object, is not it?.
Then, I'd have use others objects for storing the data (ArrayList, List, etc).

This basic code doesn't work.

Good question. I believe there was a way to sync one of the data series to the 2nd series...I will have someone check into it and post back Monday.

You can create a data series synced to the second instrument by adding it in OnBarUpdate (NOT in Initialize) like so:

if (BarsInProgress == 1)
if (dsClose2 == null)
dsClose2 = new DataSeries(SMA(BarsArray[1],1));

That part is easy. It gets complicated if you want to do calculations which compare the history of 2 data series, because they are not synchronized with each other unless by accident. So, dsClose1[x] and dsClose2[x] may refer to different times/dates, making any comparison invalid unless you add code to deal with the issue.
