enable/disable box

please explain in detail how best to use the enable box

clicking dead center in the box can be tryiing at times during live trade...i.e. too slow

you can double click outside the box which will change the current state

however if you have 2 strats, both disabled, and double click outside the box of the one you want to enaable, both can be enabled....not good

You can single click anywhere in that column to turn on the row's strategy. If it is too small for you to click quickly I suggest trying to expand the column width so you have more real estate you can click on.

the column is wide enough

the confusion comes from having to first highlight the row, then single click to enable....if you have 2 strats running and click too fast in one...sometimes it results in a double click and although the second one is not highlighted, it also enables

this is no good for fast trading as I definitely do not want to enable the second strat when running the first

this must be a bug? i.e. under no circumstances should you be able to enable a strat that is not highlighted/selected

double clicking in one only enables both infrequently....once in a while is bad enough when trading cash

perhaps a better solution would be to have two columns....

one for enable and one for disable

and only one can be active at a time no matter now many times you click on it...i.e. if enabled, then clicking again on enable does nothing however clicking once or more on disable will disable

Not sure I follow. You don't need to prehighlight the row. Just click the cell once and it will enable the strategy.

that is only true if you have only one strategy running

I always use 2...hence the problem

you must first select one of them....then enable

please test at least 2 strats

It is a single click even with multiple strategies. If you are referring to the grid limitation that requires you to click anywhere in the grid to activate it first, that is only needed to be done once. Everything you do afterwards is a single click.

ok...all I know is that myself and others have had nothing but problems with enable since 7 first came out...including double enables

it appears the best workaround for me is to first click on the name of the strat (which selects the control center if not already) and then the enable column...no errors that way...just takes 2 clicks instead of one.

this way the name highlights and I know exactly what I am enabling

clicking only in the enable column is very unreliable....i.e. prone to errors...for everyone I know using 7

actually, clicking/double clicking on the name to highlight and then Enable column works very well...i.e. without user errors

I find if you have a chart selected then go to the Control Center, it takes 1 click to activate the CC (if not clicking in Enable column), a second click in Enable column to select/highlight that strategy and a third click in Enable column to enable.....doing this way I do make a lot of errors including double strat enables

OR...click once in the Enable column to select CC and a second time to enable

personally still prefer clicking/double clicking on name first...
