Chart Trader not Updating Position P&L

I was running a simple chart trading strategy and noticed that the chart trader is not updating the position P&L....see attached screen shot.

    dnoff,

Are you saying it is not updating at all and stays 0 indefinitely? Or that it is just not updating in step with the DOM? Can you right click on the Chart Trader and take a screenshot of the properties used. Thank you.

It was not updating at all - always "0".

        dnoff,

Please ensure you are on NT7.0.0.5. I have tried on my end and it does update.

Is there any information you can provide on how to reproduce? Please provide a screenshot of the Chart Trader properties. Thank you.

So I restarted NT 7 (actually it crashed on me for some reason (no log entry)) and the chart trader is now updating as expected.

Is there anyway to enable tracing or something deeper to capture crashes?

              dnoff,

If you have crashed NT there will be traces in the trace logs. Please find them in Documents\NinjaTrader 7\traces

So I have just crashed completing again with several windows open (ab out 7 charts, 1 market analyzer, 1 DOM, and 1 T&S window). The crash forced windows 7 to log the following error (see screen shots). I am also emailing the crash logs via the "send to support" within NT.

                  dnoff,

I am seeing a lot of these messages:

12/13/2009 11:20:46 AM|3|4|Error on plotting last value for indicator 'SMA'. Please check the 'OnBarUpdate' method: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.

12/13/2009 11:20:46 AM|3|4|Error on plotting last value for indicator 'RSI'. Please check the 'OnBarUpdate' method: Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
                  Parameter name: index

Do you know of reproducible steps to get these messages we can try? Perhaps attaching your workspace file would help. Thank you.

Sorry for the late reply to your post above.

Firstly, I do not have repeatable steps - it seems at certain times, NT 7 loses the ability to access historical data from ZenFire and then throws those errors when the charts try to load.

I just had a second NT crash (app stop working on Win 7), so I will email the logs and also attach the workspace and see if that helps.

dnoff, has the issue you originally reported (chart trader reporting p/l of 0) ceased being an issue since you restarted NinjaTrader?

I'm also starting to look over the logs and traces in greater detail and was curious, could you tell me what the date was when you first started noticing the issue?

                        Austin,

The issue with the P/L not displaying in chart trader has been corrected.

The second issue I have posted on a couple of times started about 10 days or so ago - it has only happened the way reported using NT 7.0.0.5 thus far.

Great. If you see the issue reoccur on B6 please let us know. Thank you.
