    Chart compression issues

It seems there is a problem with chart compression with beta 5.
Picture one shows two single-series 30 min charts with identical settings and they are both zoomed out to the max but as it's shown the chart on top has twice the compression of the one below.
Picture 2 shows the same two charts again and they both are zoomed out to the max but this time the bottom chart has twice the compression of the one on top.
To reproduce this please set up two charts with identical settings and then zoom out both to the maximum level then try to expand one of them over several screens and zoom in and out a few times and then bring it back to the original size and try to compare it with the other chart. You'll notice they won't have the same compression when they are both zoomed to the max.

    yellowTrader,

I tried your steps, but the window returns back on resize with the exact same chart compression. Please ensure you are truly max zoomed out by dragging the time axis to the right several times. When you resize your window to a larger window, there should still be no way to compress it any further than it already is.

If you are still able to reproduce please take a screenshot of the chart properties you are using and the Data Series window. Thank you.

I reinstalled beta 5 this morning cause couldn't load Dec charts. When later I tried to reproduce the issue I had explained I wasn't able to but found out if you max zoom out and then set the Equidistant to true , you will no longer be able to get the same compression as you did before. Infact you'll get a very weak compression.

I have reproduced it again and again.
Please try it with a 30 min chart of ES going back 200 days.
Then as pic-5 shows try to zoom out so that the last bar on the left of the chart is the bar stamped 18:30 on 12/6/2009.
pic-3 and pic-4 shows more info you asked for.

yellowTrader, I'm trying to reproduce this and have a quick question: does this compression issue only occur when using and working with charts on/with/across multiple monitors?

Your first post seems to allude to the fact: "over several screens".

Yesterday when I noticed it first I was expanding the charts across several monitors but today (after reinstalling beta 5) the chart I was working with was confined only to one of the monitors.

Austin, did you not notice the change in chart compression when you set Equidistant to true?

                    yellowTrader,

We did not notice any change in compression levels.
