download data not the same as live

where does NT get the data that we download for replay?

several of us are using Zenfire and get different results running the same strategy live vs replay

could the NT data be from a throttled source ...like IB etc that does not feed full data?

It is possible that you can experience different results running a strategy in real-time between MR and live data. Replay is not a 100% reflection of what happened live in terms of timing. What is guaranteed is the sequence of market data events and the quality of data --> No ticks are missed.

that is unfortunate....as I can not get accurate testing

I was using MR to test over Strategy Analyzer for better accuracy. In 6.5 SA used closed bars only right? Same in NT7?

Yes, we use closed bars in NT7.

last resort then.....would recorded data at my end be more accurate, as to the timing issue you mentioned, than data downloaded from NT?

You can try, but it will likely be the same results. At the end of the day, simulations are just simulations and things can and often does behave differently when live. Results from simulations should always be taken with a grain of salt.
