    Session Manager

Why does my chart plot the 24hour session when I only have it programed for the day session?

    See Attached

    Thanks

This is a daily chart Velocity, thus believe expected as it would use full 24 hr session. Will confirm and respond back.

Direct access of session templates via NinjaScript

I understand that I can access the definitions contained in the current session template via Bars.Session.SessionsOfDay[int sessionsOfDay].

Is it possible to obtain the equivalent definitions via NinjaScript for another (inactive) template from the TemplateName or directly access the masterdata of that template?

In particular, is there any option to get the name and the associated definitions of the session template that is attached to an instrument via the instrument manager (in case this is not the template used for the current bar series) ?

              Session question

I'm on the west coast and I'm trying to create a custom 24 hr. Session Template from 6:30 am to 6:30 am .... The manager says I can't have the
start and end times the same ??? So I'm just not seeing how you create a
              custom 24 hr. template ?

Setting start and end time the same on the same day would be a 'non' session. It will allow you to set Start= Monday 06:30 End= Tuesday 0630. See the Default 24/7 template as an example.

                    Small bug

When opening a new chart and immediately selecting 24/7 for the session, this is generally not respected, but the chart displays the preset session (instrument settings).

Workaround: Edit the data series and choose 24/7 again. This time your choice is accepted.

Sorry I can't reproduce. Could you please provide exact steps on how to reproduce? Thanks

                        Some more details

Checked again, here is the reason:

Because I am used to a darker background and different candle colours, I have saved a Default chart template that changes the colours, nothing else.

However, the "Default" chart template involuntarily includes the Session template <Use instrument settings>, so it overwrites and annulates my choice for the Session template, which was "Default 24/7". I guess that it is supposed to do this, although I did not want it.

So I cannot avoid this, unless there is an option to create a chart template that does not set the session template as well. For the time being, I changed the Default chart template to include the Session Template 24/7, so at least it does not cut off data.
