Fib tools - text - chart grid

I had posted an earlier thread about the need for variability for fib ext & retraces to be able to match up in a controllable area often in front of the chart that seems to have been addressed

these are further refinements that would be very helpful

    1) all parameters (colors, alignment & calc %) for fib ext, ret & time should be settable as a default

= if you can not create a settable default, then the factory default should be .382 .5 .618 & .786 for fib retraces set to Inside Right

= fib ext should be .27 .618 & 1.0 set to Inside Left

= Fib time woud be nice to have the numbers list horizontally..

    2) the text tool aligns in the center, this does not make for clean commentary, the text box should align on the left margin

Text font size default is 8 that is quite small, a boost up to ~ 11 would be better, and again settable defaults

    3) The chart should be scrollable

as it stands we can move, compress & exp horizontally and we can expand and compress vertically but we can not move vertically

    1. I don't quite follow. You can set defaults by right clicking and selecting Manage Templates. Save it with template Default and that will then become the default.

    2. Center align is the behavior of 6.5. Thank you for the suggestion though. You already have settable defaults. For text there is a Set Default button that sets it to default with whatever font you are currently using.

    3. Ctrl + left mouse click to drag the y-axis up/down.

Hi Josh, I can not get fib parameter changes to hold

6.5 has a save as default button for Fib

      7.0 does not

      =========
yes I see the cntl left click provides the Y axis function, why introduce another click when we don't need it to go side to side..

      =========
is it possible to create a movable erase function (eraser head)

      thanks

        lambro,

All fib tools you can right click in the properties dialogue and select Manage Templates. Just save yourself a Default template for defaults.

Left click dragging on y-axis is already used for compressing/decompressing so you need to hold ctrl to move.

Thanks for the suggestion on the eraser tool.

Josh, this is not working for me

can you give me a step by step process and confirmation on your end that you are able to save N7 fib parameters.

again I want to save parameter changes to fib so it comes up that way every time

.382, .5, .618 & .786 for retraces (which should be the default anyway)

          and .27, .618 & 1.0 for extensions

in N7 wen fib is active and I right click on it, there is no Save as Default button as there is in 6.5 and there is no prompt to manage templates

          thanks

            lambro,

            1. new chart
            2. Draw fib retracement
            3. Select fib retracement, right click -> Properties
            4. Type in whatever values you want for the levels
            5. Right click in any part of the form that is not editable
            6. Select "Manage Templates"
            7. Save with template name "Default"
            8. Press OK and close Properties window
            9. Draw new fib retracement -> Uses your new defaults
