    Historical data

    What happened to historical data? I close down my NT7 over weekend, pull up sunday nites, and voila, no historical data anymore. Just from beginning of session. I do a "reload historical data" and nothing but beginning of session. I'm using AMP/ZenFire.

    What do you mean by only data at beginning of session? Did you have store real-time data checked in Tools>Options? What exactly is missing?

      I have "Save chart data as historical" checked, if that's what you mean

            What are your chart settings? Please check session templates, days back, etc. Which instrument are you using as well? Please try some others.

              yes that was it, chart settings had 0 in days to load. What is the optimal setting? I put 256. And can this be globally set? I did it in "DataSeries" by right clicking on chart.

                Depends on what kind of chart you are loading on how many days back you should use. If you are using minute/daily charts you can do more days back. If you are using tick charts you would want less days back.

                You can set defaults per period type by choosing what you want and then right click -> Set default.

                  Starting NT7B4 after regular market hours...the historical data does not fill in as it always did in NT6.5. I have charts set to load 5 days of data and have "Get data from server" and "Save chart data as historical" in the Options>Data tab. (Zen Fire data) Currently the charts are almost empty...screen shot below...

                    Alfred,

                    It was just a holiday with no trading sessions or shortened sessions. Could be the cause.

                      Josh...yesterday was a full day of trading...I only ran 7B4 live a few minutes in the AM...then when connected again after the close the data did not fill in correctly. Have noticed that on a few other occasions...will check again today after the close.

                        Which data provider are you using? Have you checked your session templates for the chart? Have you tried reloading historical data?

                          Josh...using Zen-Fire. Session templates are OK...during active market hours this works OK to start up for example say an hour or so after last being connected live. It seems to not work correctly if you connect live after regular market hours....did try reloading yesterday after market hours yesterday and that did not help.

                          I will try this again after the market close this afternoon and see how it works then.
