velocity, is this happening on IQFeed?

Please retry with the 'DoNotMerge' option set for the ES master instrument.

Yes I have the IQ Feed.

However, I need the continuous data thru the contracts.

Will NT7 be able to support a continuous contract associated with the data provider. For example the IQ Feed is "@ES#".

Also, where did the diagnostic tab go? there is no longer a check box under the general tab to look at the trace file.

      thanks

Sure, you could access this with the ES ##-## expiry then.

            Velocity,

            - Can you confirm what beta version you are running, under Help > About
            - There is no longer access to the diagnostics tab --> Only our support people can enable this since its really not required by users without our request
            - Depending on the version you are on, I will provide further instructions regarding the trace files
            - To get the ES ##-##, go to the Instrument Manager, and add this instrument. You will find ##-## as an option under the expiration list, instead of selecting 12-09, you would select ##-##.

You definitely should upgrade to the latest NT7B4. Please let us know if the "red X" on chart persists after upgrading.

The native IQFeed "Invalid symbol" error message (your original post) is resulting from your attempt to pull data for an instrument which has expired a while back: IQFeed no longer would accept that instrument as valid.
