    DataSeries - Days to load

    Hi,

    This is a strange one - after a chart has been opened and then later saved, upon restarting NT the Days to load value resets to 0. I have seen this occur on Volume, Range and a custom chart type but not on minute or day charts.

    I have not checked other chart types...

    Nothing unusual shows in the Log.

      Yes - NT7b4 is installed.

      I was unable to reproduce a sequence as such, but in trying I had closed my active Workspaces and opened new ones to experiment (using 2 Workspaces with multiple charts and Shutting down/Restarting NT several times).

      I wasnt able to reproduce the condition so shut NT down again, restarted then re-opened my active Workspaces to find the condition existed on a number of charts. I have attached an image from one where I know that I had set the number of days to 4 prior to closing. As you can see it is showing 0.

      If I can find a pattern to this I will post it..

        I tried a few times on my end and was unable to reproduce either. Will look out for any additional information you can provide.

          I have noticed this also, although on the computer I've noticed it on is running NT7b3. I have b4 on another computer and haven't noticed it, but that computer (and NT7) is shut-down and restarted more regularly. If I recall, when I have noticed it was when NT7 had been running and I closed the connection to ZenFire and reconnected after trying to open a chart and getting an error msg about the historical data server is unavailable. I haven't found a consistant condition though, that I'm sure of.

          I also notice that I restarted NT7 on Saturday and it was running through Sunday and when the overnight session started up the charts weren't updating and in the Dataseries dialog, the "end date" still had Saturday's date, I had to manually switch them to the current day.

          I'll let you know more if I can reproduce any of this.

            Josh,

            This is still an issue. I have 2 workspaces open - the first my 'active' one and the second with only 2 Volume charts (different instruments) setup to record GOMCD data.

            Each time I restart NT (7b5) when I check the second workspace I find the Days to load has reset from 4 (my setting) to 0.

            This only happens in the second workspace - charts in the primary one dont lose the Days to load setting.

            The workspace names are Gomi and Untitled1 and since Untitled1 is my active workspace when I exit and save it is always the one selected/displayed on restart.

              rt-trader, do you by chance use two monitors with NinjaTrader? Could you please also share with us your workspaces? They're located at My Documents/NinjaTrader 7/workspaces.                 Hi Austin,

                I emailed you the information requested...

                But - I have just installed 6b and the problem does not appear to be occurring now - the charts are not resetting the Days to load on restart - so perhaps there was work done in this area which either directly or indirectly addressed the issue.

                I will post again if it does re-occur.

                  There was a bug that should have been resolved in B6 in relation to this. Glad it is working. Thank you for your efforts in testing.
