        why not just code it?

ie. when price hit, have your cs place whatever order you want...including orders using ATM templates (AtmStrategyCreate..etc)

Well, you have to code it :-) Also, before NT7 and unmanaged orders, there were some order types that are unsupported.

A Market if Touched (MIT) is an order to buy (or sell) a contract below (or above) the market. This order is held in the system until the trigger price is touched, and is then submitted as a market order. An MIT order is similar to a stop order, except that an MIT sell order is placed above the current market price, and a stop sell order is placed below.

            MIT Orders

            Hi Support,

Is there still no plan of having Market If Touched orders in NT7 ???

If not,are you able to point me to a learning reference for coding such?

            Regards,

There have been no changes in regards to MIT orders. We do not have any reference samples specifically for this, but all you need to do is just check the current price versus whatever price you want. When the current price equals that price then submit your market order with EnterLong() or EnterShort().

                Josh,

One quick question, the thing you mentioned for MIT order after its implemented, can it be done in such a way,..so that on chart trader, one can right-click on the chart and select MIT order at the price level?

Or is this "right-click on chart-trader", cannot be custom coded in ninja ?

                Thanks

mmtrader, unfortunately programming a custom MIT button for this operation is not supported - Josh outlined what needed to be done to realize this order from with a NinjaScript strategy.
