Market Replay - Calendar Widget - Bug

    Start NT7

    Connect to Market Replay

When range selection comes up, click date on left side first.

    Calendar Widget should pop up.

Then click right arrow of widget (change month forward)

    it should go crazy.

Bottom line, play with Calendar widget on market replay. Buggy.

I can't reproduce. Can you post an image of your Replay Control ?

    Thanks

      Ray,

      I can't reproduce now either :-(

      1. Is there a difference between 6.5 market replay data and 7.0 replay data?

      2. If gave the feeling like the left calendar widget or right calendar widget was stuck. It would keep going and the calendar widgets wouldn't disappear when you clicked anywhere else. Anyway, can't get this to reproduce.

My theory is that I copied over 6.5 data and dumped it into the 7.0 db directory where it holds the replay data. The widget didn't like that ?

I deleted all the data in there and redownloaded from using the replay data download utility and that issue seems to have gone away. My logic is that it was trying to read the directory/tick/replay data and sync to the calendar and it was getting whacked out due to corrupt or incompatible market replay data.

I have this problem too using 6.5 data. Please say it's compatible, as I have a lot ;-)

Ninja will also report a have to close problem when typing in any dates, or moving the slide bar on the replay control box:

Dave, please post your unrelated issues on separate threads to avoid confusion.

          - you can use your NT6.5 replay data in NT7
          - would you have a reproducible scenario? Thanks

Sorry - I thought they might be related.

Reproducing is easy. Just connect to replay, using 6.5 files. Then try and use the calendar widgets to change from/to, or move the slide bar. The widgets will go crazy. The slide bar will give the error above. Maybe they're all the same error associated with changing the date.

            regards
            Dave

              I see.

Could you upload the offending repay files e.g. by Help->Mail to support (please make sure to attache them), subject "for Dierk" and reference this thread? Thanks

OK, done. There are hundreds of files (maybe that's an issue), so I've sent three. They are standard 6.5 recorded files that have been through the conversion to 7 process (which I assume is just a copy for these files)

Thanks. You only sent on one file which was for Z 09-09 for the 15th of July '09.

I was unable to reproduce any crash there. What exactly needed I to do?

I spotted this and sent a mail soon afterwards. It's pretty large though - it was sent to your email address, rather than using the mail to support function.

(it appears you can only attach one file in the attach box on mail to support?)

I see the same behavior, and it's probably not instrument-specific as it can be reproduced with no charts up.

                      -Start NT 7
                      -Connect to Market Replay
-Activate drop down calendar for Start or End date and click on < or > to change the Month.

The Calendar will keep scrolling forward or backward on its own even if you click on the icons only once. It takes a few clicks to get it to stop, and then the only way to reliably set your start and end dates is to enter them in the date field.

                      I'm on WinXP SP3

Also had some recurring market replay crashes just now and the log and trace files have been sent via email. I was using 6E data downloaded from Ninja starting 22 October 2009.

                        - the calendar scrolling issue will be resolved with next update. Thanks for reporting.
                        - still looking for a reproducible scenario to analyze the exception. Thanks

It doesn't happen when you use the slider (or type in dates) with the data I sent?

                            No it doesn't.
