MarketReplay crash without Replay101 reset

finally found a workaround for resetting MR without crash

initially I thought it was my cs causing the problem...so I would close my workspace and have no charts, cs etc running before resetting MR to 930

turns out even then I get the attached error

solution is to reset Replay101 before using GoTo in MT dialog to reset to 930. If you do this then it does not matter which workspace, charts, cs, etc are running...no problem

so ...must be a bug related to Replay101 resetting on changing to earlier MT time

Sorry, I'm confused:
- are you referring to a crash which you reported earlier and where we replied? If so, could you please provide link to we would not waste time researching issue twice?
- in case this a separate issue: what would be steps to reproduce?

this is the same issue however with much less detail

1. run any cs (strat) and make trades (mine uses AtmCreate..._) on MR from 930am for 30 mins or so....i.e. makes some trades in the Replay 101 acct
2. right click/Goto 930...ie..rewind to start over
3. you should get a crash...that is all I am doing, with or without charts running when I rewind

4. next time reset Replay101 account before rewind and it will not crash

bug is related to automatic reset of Replay101 on rewind of MR

I am getting essentially the same problem.

Open DOM, run your strategy from the grid, let it go through to the end. Then grab the slide widget and try to rewind. It will crash.

Market Replay feature wise is fantastic, but many bugs to work out it seems. This was on 7.0.0.4

Market Replay - Can't Rewind if you made a trade

I would have to say that the Market Replay crashing as I referenced earlier, is directly related to whether you put on a trade or not (maybe there are other issues, but this will reproduce the bug).

1. Open Market Replay

2. Open DOM

3. Start Market Replay

4. Rewind Market Replay as much as you want (No Crash)

5. Put on a trade (Using a Strategy, Not manually entry)

6. Rewind Market Replay

7. Kerplunk!

UPDATE:
You don't even need to actually do a trade. Just add a strategy (use the MAsample so you test consistently) and then slide the bar on replay control. It will crash.

I agree....have not tried with only manual DOM trade....only made trades with my cs....

definitely related to making trades in Repla101 though...and then rewinding either with slider or GoTo....

try resetting Replay101 and you should see that it does not crash...at least with GoTo it does not

conclusion....if removing the trades solves the issue....the issue is what MR does/does not do relative to the replay acct prior to resetting time

I just updated my previous post to say NOT manually. Only through strategy orders does the rewind bug occur.

I just posted another issue related to market depth showing on the DOM. Could you check out the post and see if you can duplicate and verify?

Also, what do you mean "resetting", disconnect/reconnect?

by reset I mean just rewinding MR to an earlier time using either the slider or the right click/GoTo feature

NT7 beta 5 solves all the prior MR problems....I have been unable to get MR to crash
