yes i am running it under parallels i said this in the first post, folder sharing is turned on, also nt7 x64 works just fine other than not working with esignals data manager.

jupiejupe, would you mind giving it a try with folder sharing turned off? We normally advise going down that route if installed like in your setup, as we've seen many issues introduced with folder sharing enabled. Thanks.

where and what should i turn off? there is a few choices.

Please remove the 'Documents' from the shared user profile and then restart the virtual machine and recheck.

now nt can not find the path to my doc's, and will not install, when i get back home i'll uninstall nt7 and start over .

Ok, was this now with or without enabled folder sharing between the MAC and Windows? This is an admin account you're using on the Win side of things, right?

yes admin as been on in both accounts.

Current state: folder sharing is off, nt unhappy about my doc's folder address, i think it was something about a invalid character, going to uninstall then reinstall with folder off, when i get home.

previous state: folder sharing was on, nt would not load pass splash screen complained about nt vender dll.

oooaky so here's the deal so far, nt7 is not liking the shared folders off, it will not install. here is a what it says.

yes i have turned folders sharing off, with current install of nt7, uninstalled turned folders sharing off, reinstalled. nt7 said there gave same error in both cases.

so what now?

oh and now nt6.5.0015 will not load the strategy that i exported from nt6.50014 it claims that is is from a newer version of nt6.5? so what gives there?

jupiejupe, which exact install error do you get as you attempt to reinstall NT7? Which security software are you running and is it allowing read / write access to the vital MyDocuments folder?

Are you sure you exported the strategy from 65 and not from your previously installed NT7?

You could drop the CS file directly into the MyDocuments\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\Custom\Strategy folder to 'install' it still. Afterwards please compile one indicator / strategy to update the custom assembly.

i am not running any security software, i posted a picture of the install error i am receiving.

the export issue is nt 65 to nt 65, i have not used nt7 for anything other than a headache. i will try your work around
