Color Transparent & Display in Data Box

If an Indicator has the color option transparent and displayindatabox = true, it is not displayed in the data box

Correct. When set to transparent it will not display in the Data box.

This is a change from NT 6.5 and in my mind a step backwards. If there is an explicit option displayindatabox, it's value should be honored.

The idea was this. A transparent plot is a plot that is not drawn. Since it is not drawn it will not be printed in the Data Box since the Data Box only shows what is visible on the chart.

I attach the indicator to the chart, because it's information is useful for me. I feel it should be up to me, if I want to have a visual representation on the chart or a numerical representation in the databox or both.

The color option transparent let's me select or deselect the first option, displayindatabox let's me select or deselect the second option.

That's my logic and the logic of NT 6.5.

What I have to do now is to plot the indicator in a special panel and shrink the panel size to zero.

As panel sizes are not preserved in the indicator templates, I have to do this for every new chart I create. A serious step back.

It seems logical to me that if you don't want a dataseries to show up in the data box, you would use a regular dataseries and not a plot. If using a plot maybe it should show in the data box even if transparent? I haven't needed this yet but that does seem to be the logical way.
