Text and Rectangles disappearing

Hello,

in the NT Beta 4 I found problem with Drawing tools.

All text and rectangles dissapead (text is still there, but invisible) after connect to Interactive Brokers.

You can see the issue in the attached pictures.

I do not know if this issue is also the same for another Drawing tools, but for example Horizontal line works fine (not dissapearing)

Please check your Font color for the text objects. Default color of text objects is black.

it was first I have checked, but color of the font is ok, see the attachment

Unfortunately I was unable to reproduce. How are you creating these text objects? Script? Manually drawn? Please try on a blank chart with no indicators and nothing else.

objects are created manualy
and problem is repeating also with "blank simple" chart w/o indicators

text is invisible, but still present (I can pop up properties of the object), font properties and color is ok

1) open chart
2) create text
3) connect to IB
4) text becomes invisible

Josh,

I found new interesting thing.

All works properly (no hiding text, no dissapearing rectangles) If I create TEXT or RECTANGLE with Properties/Area/Attach to: "All charts"

It seems there is some problem with attaching drawing objects to different types of charts.

What types do you mean by when you say "different types of charts"? Can you please clarify? Thank you.

In the Drawing object properties in "General" tab, "Area" section and "Attach to:" field...

for example, I am using YM 12-09 market so

1 type is: YM 12-09 3min
2 type is: YM 12-09 (All charts)

So it should be different types of "Attached to" field, not "different types of chart". I am sorry.

Guess I don't quite follow. When you set to All Charts, the object will show up on all charts of that instrument. Are you saying you are not seeing any objects?

Step by step:

First case
1) open NT
2) open chart (YM 12-09 3min)
3) draw text and rectangle with Attached to settings YM 12-09 3min
4) connect to IB
5) automatic chart reloading starts
6) text and rectangle disappear

Second case
1) open NT
2) open chart (YM 12-09 3min)
3) draw text and rectangle with Attached to settings YM 12-09 (All charts)
4) connect to IB
5) automatic chart reloading starts
6) text and rectangle NOT disappear

Is it clear now?

I was not able to reproduce case 1. What version of NT7 are you on? There may have been work around this area that should show up in the B5 version. Please try again on the next version if you are already on NT7B4.

I am using NTB4 on Windows 7
