    ES not charting actual highs

On a daily chart of the ES the true daily highs are not plotting, I've tried several different settings in the instrument manager and data series and can't seem to get the correct plots.

    DeskTroll,

Zen daily bars should be generated from whatever minute data you have. eSignal provides daily bars directly.

Right Josh, what I'm saying is that the highs on the bars are inaccurate..they do not match the actual daily high.

        DeskTroll,

You can't mix and match different data providers. Please delete your historical data and then stick to one to see how it lines up. When using eSignal, the minute data is not guaranteed to match their daily data. They are two completely separate data streams.

Ok I'm confused, in NT 6.5 using Zenfire as a primary and eSignal as secondary feeds ( just what I have now in NT 7 ) when I opened a daily chart I got daily bars with accurate high/lows..now in NT 7 for some reason I am not getting accurate highs..are you saying it's because I have two feeds?

            DeskTroll,

Right now I would not know what is stored in your database or why. What you should do is simplify the scenario, use one data provider, delete old historical data and start afresh. Then we can go and work to identify what may or may not be the cause.

Josh, I deleted the old data base and reloaded a chart, the pic below shows what I have now.

I concur we do seem to have a problem with daily charts for historical data futures but not with the ## contract.

I only get about 3 month of data on ES December contract even if I have it set for 365 days while I have much more on the ## perpetual contract but if I do the same thing with 6.5 I have about 10 month of data on ES Dec contract. So there seems to have a slight problem.

P.S I have E-Signal as datafeed and I have no such problems with 6.5 so it is obviously a problem with V7.

Thanks for looking at this problem.

                  To help isolate...

                  - Please only connect to eSignal
                  - Load a daily chart for the ES 12-09 contract (not the ##-##)
                  - Right click in the chart and select "Reload Historical Data"

Is the chart what you expect? Please do not take any further steps until you have reported back at which time I will provide additional instructions.

                  Thanks in advance.

                      Thanks.

                      - Please try this
                      - Close all charts
                      - Tools > Historical Data Manager > Edit Tab
                      - Expand ES 09-09
                      - Expand Last
                      - Select Day, right click and select "Delete"
                      - Now connect to eSignal and open the same chart
                      - Same image as you posted before or something different ?

Very weird for my part as in the edit tab I don't have any expand option so I tried download tab instead and chose day instead of minute then choose start date as Jan 09 and still had same result.

So I sure would like to have more details on how to fix that problem .

                        Thanks

I think it's the same thing as in this thread so seems it will be resolved in next beta release.
