activating hotkeys

In NT 7, is there anything one needs to do to activate the Hot Key manager for order entries? I have setup some hotkeys for order management,but they appear not to work.

See Tools > Options > General tab --> There is a checkbox you must enable.

Thanks Ray, just tried the hot key functionality in Beta 4. Hotkey appears to work so far.

Certain things I observed:

1) When a buy order is placed using a simple atm strategy on chart-trader, it fills the buy order. And then when "close" button is hit, it first cancels all orders and says "order cancelled". And after that before it closes the current long position,, it tries to place a profit target order below the entry price intermittently (as it appears in the charttrader) and then it says "order filled" when current long is closed.

Why is it placing the intermittent "profit target" order below the market? Is this a bug?


2) Also one time I experienced after everything is flattened, that a profit target order remains on the chart and it is not getting cancelled. Not sure why. Flatten everything also doesn't cancel it. May be reset db will solve this? Is this a bug in order handling?

3) On the bottom of DOM ladder, where it usually says MARKET and MARKET, sometimes I noticed it just turns into "BID" and "BID". In the dom properties, I have the "show quick button" as false.

2. Is the order still in some working state in the Control Center orders tab? I am wondering if this is just a chart rendering issue. Can it be reproduced?

3. Press the CTRL button, sometimes this will toggle it back to MARKET. This sometimes happens, been like this for a long time as well.

Thanks Ray for clarifying. I mainly use more of ninja's charting functionality than order management, I missed it.

No, it doesn't show up in Control center orders tab as working. It just shows up in the charttrader as a profit target order. Tried it again,but couldn't reproduce it.

Thanks for trying, please let me know if you see this again. As I suspected, its a rendering bug that likely is hard to replicate.

Your welcome. Will report if I see this again. I remember having a similar problem in a NT 6.5 version, had to reset db to solve it. Do you suggest reset db here as well to remove that zombie order?

No, I don't believe resetting the DB will add any value.
