.net 3.5 update

I tried to install latest NT7 Beta version and it asked to install .net 3.5 update. I tried to do automatic update on my computer(with vista 64bit) and it installed other updates,but the .net update kb951487 failed.

I also tried to install from the link provided by NT 7 install, but it failed too.

Is this a common problem users encounter? Is there any alternate way to install .net 3.5 update? Can NT7 run with .net 2.x or its functionality is limited with .net 2.x ?

NT7 requires 3.5. Unfortunately I am not sure why you cannot install the update. I suggest you try restarting your computer and before you open any applications to try and go ahead to install again. Make sure you have downloaded the correct version for your 64bit machine.

Do you have the link for the Vista Home Premium x64 .net 3.5 kb download link? Just want to check if I am downloading the correct one.

I retried the automatic update and it says successful. But when I start NT 6.5 and click Help->about, it says .net version is 2.0.50727.3603

So,does that mean, .net version on my system is still 2.x? If it is 2.x,will try the installing the link you provided.

Is there anywhere else on the system to check the .net version.

That is only telling you what version that application is using. NT6.5 uses 2.0 which is accurate. If you want to see what is installed you can go to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and you should see 3.5 listed.

Thanks Josh. I just checked, 3.5 is installed on my system. Appreciate the support.

A related question, when I try to install NT 7 on my Vista x64 computer, it tries to install to "C:\ProgramFiles (x86)\NinjaTrader7\" folder, does that mean, it is trying to install 32 bit NT 7 application. Anyway to force it to install the the NT 7 64 bit application?

Just install to the default folder as suggested by the installer and you will get 32-bit and 64-bit installed.
