NT7 Backtest - Bugs or Observations

1. Right click on an instrument list (left), select Backtest... backtest will show previously backtested instrument and not what I right clicked on..

2. Run backtest on an instrument list (stocks for example ... around 5)... NT displays results and as you click on "Trades" and switch between instruments it crashes...

3. When you backtest and go to the "Chart" tab the chart is not correct (i.e. doesn't include the indicators you've added in your code and the buy/sell are all messed up... if you go to the "trades" tab, right click a trade and select "Chart" it shows the correct chart

- Open Strategy Backtest
- Go to the left side where you see the instruments, right click on an instrument list and select Backtest
- When you expand the Backtest sidebar you will not see the instrument list (or instrument) you have selected, you will see your previous selection

2. Please attach your trace/log files. Can you reproduce with SampleMACrossOver?
- Forgot how to extract the log for you .. please let me know and I will do it.

1. Unfortunately I am still not following you. When you select backtest you get a backtest bar to choose what you which strategy you want to backtest. The backtest bar is not suppose to show you anything about instruments.

2. Documents\NinjaTrader 7\logs and \traces folders respectively. Please zip up the relevant dates and try to attach them. Thank you.

Basically, if you right click on the TSX hive and select backtest the instrument list is not selected in the backtesting settings (right panel).

Josh, on my original issue number 2.

I was able to reproduce it using SampleMACrossOver, here are the steps:

1. Selected an instrument list with two stocks by right clicking on the instrument list (left sidebar) and selecting 'optimize'

2. Clicked on Optimize (right sidebar)

3. Click on the first instrument row (optimize results)

4. Click on Summary tab -- results are displayed

5. Click on "Trades" to see the specific trades of the optimization results. No trades are displayed ....

6. Click on a different instrument... NT crashes...
