Minor screen refresh issue with profit / loss on Chart Trader

Essentially, when clicking on the profit / loss number on the chart trader right hand pannel, the visualisation on the proce chart changes immediately, but the price on the chart trader pannel seems to be delayed until the next tick of data. When there aren't many trades happenning, this can be delayed some time.

Please see the vid if the description doesn't make sense!

As an aside, NT7 seems to be weotking much better with the Interactive Broker's data feeds, but the volumes on historical data always seem to come back with a value of the width of the bar in minutes!!! I've heard it said that IB will return volumes of -1 unless "something special" is done...

The first issue is an expected change with NinjaTrader 7, as the ChartTrader panel has been optimized for higher performance and thus uses a new update logic.

I could not reproduce your IB volume issue, reloaded the ES 12-09 on a live account and volume was reported as expected - are you running TWS 898.4 with NT 7.0.0.3?

Profits & Volumes

Hi Bertrand,

Re the "optimisation", it doesn't feel like an optimisation to me - I expect a user-interface to be responsive, and what I describe is only a problem when a user has explicitly requested the application to do something. Also, that the UI is updated on the chart but not the side pannel seems inconsistant with an "optimisation" route. What will happen if I want to look at my charts out of market hours? Will the side pannel simply not chage when I click it, because there will be no live data feed?

The volumes issue is occuring with spot forex.

Volumes issue

IB does not support FX volume thus what you see is synthetically injected by NinjaTrader since our internal architecture requires volume.
