    HeikenAshi Chart Problems/code breaking

    Support,

When an indicator is loaded on a chart with HeikenAshi, it appears like Open[0] or Close[0] values are not returning true values like Ninja 6.5. It looks like as if the Open[0] or Close[0] are returning the HiekenAshi modified values.
    Is this true?

Is this a code breaking change for all HeikenAshi charts? or is this an intended design change? If yes, is there anyway to plot the indicator based on the original Close[0] and Open[0] on a HeikenAshi chart?

    Thanks

HeikenAshi is a new chart type. When you use it, it will show values of it and not the underlying information anymore since the underlying series is not what is being plotted.

This is not code breaking since HeikenAshi was never an indicator you could program against. In NT7, that indicator has actually been removed and replaced by the HA bar type.

If you want the underlying series you can add the second series onto the multi-series chart.

Josh, thanks for clarifying about HeikenAshi

I tried, what you suggested, I added a 2nd regular series of the same time frame in panel2. I loaded an indicator (which colors bars and marks signals) and I selected the 2nd dataseries(which is loaded n HeikenAshi chart in 2nd panel) and selected panel-1 for indicator plotting. So, it supposed to plot signals and color bars on panel1 on HeikenAshi chart.

But I noticed it is coloring bars in panel2 instead of panel1. I assume one can in general, select the 2nd dataseries as input and plot signals on panel1. Is this a bug in multi-timeframe feature in ninja?

Nope. When you run on a second series by applying the indicator the second series it will chart in relation to the second series. If you want it to apply to the first series you need to apply the chart to the first series and actually program the indicator itself to be multi-series.

Josh, It is processing the signals based on the 2nd dataseries correctly and marking the signals on the 1st dataseries as expected as panel1 is selected for plot panel for indicator. The problem is in regards to "BarColor". It is supposed to also color the bars in dataseries1 similar to the signal markers on dataseries1. Instead it is coloring Bars on dataseries two.

Appears like a bug in "BarColor" of multi-timeframe feature as signal markers are working fine, but BarColor is not working. Are there any associated bugs in regards to "barColor" on multitimeframe series.

          Thanks

Incorrect. It is suppose to color the series it is applied to (the second series). Single-series indicators do not interact with other bar objects which is what you are asking for. You need to do a multi-series indicator if you want it to impact HA. Draw objects depends on what you have DrawOnPricePanel set to for where it paints.
