Draw Tool Templates....Options to Consider...

The way the alternate templates are set up currently on some draw tools requires that you first put the default template on the chart, then if you want a custom template you right click, select properties and choose one of your custom templates....I believe this is correct...

Why not consider this as an optional method...when you click on the Drawing Tools icon and scroll down to the tool you want...why not then have a secondary drop down list open to the right side of your selected tools name (standard windows menu like stuff) ...this list would include the "default" setting plus any of the named custom templates you have set up for that particular tool. This way you could easily select optional templates for a tool without going through the awkward extra steps as outlined above as the template selection process is set up currently....and this way you could also easily assign a user defined hot key to the each custom template...making it even easier to apply these variations to charts.

I believe there should also be custom templates available for the Andrews Pitchfork, Line, Arrow line, Regression Channel and Triangle....perhaps also the the Gann Fan and Rectangle....this would open up the draw tool menu to a lot of useful user options...

Why not have simple templates for all drawing tools to save different sets of options?

Even a simple line tool, would benefit by being able to say draw "red think line" or "default" or "whatever...". Once you have this in place, hot keys also become a snap, as you allow a single parm to specify a template (or none for default).

All good ideas and they are on our feedback list. Likely no changes will be made in this area since we are prioritzed on stabilization issues vs enhancements.
