    Google Account connection

I have connected to Google to receive free delayed streaming data.
If I open a chart with any S&P 500 ticker, it will not load any data (1 min, 1h, ...). It will only load daily data on charts.

I also do not receive any data (i.e. I type in MSFT and I won't receive AskPrice, BidPrice, LastPrice or Last Close) in the Market Analyzer window. I have already uninstalled Google Desktop.

How can I receive intraday data through Google? Any additional things to do after setting up Google as an account connection and then connecting? The status line is green and stays connected.

The google adapter is meant to be used for end of day data just like the Yahoo adapter.

The problem is that google does not work as expected for some instruments. We came across that before. On your particuler instrument the query
          "http://finance.google.com/finance/historical?q=NSE%3aRNRL&startdate=03.22.2009&endda te=03.21.2010&output=csv"

... would not return any data whereas your query below would. NT however, needed to go with the former query. That's why you experience these issues.

            Thanks for replying.
But, my questions is - What stock symbol should we import to see the chart? How can we use Google Finance connection to view charts in NinjaTrader?

I tried with another stock symbol of Microsoft(MSFT) and it was not displaying either.

If we are using Yahoo connection, we have to import stock symbol RNRL.NS or MSFT and after clicking on view charts, and then selecting the symbol it will display the chart.

So, in case of Google, what symbol should i import to get the chart?

If i have to view chart of Microsoft(MSFT) using Google Finance data, can you give me an example of how to go about it?

              Hello Aumkar,

Can you please try the following steps. Go to Tools-->Instrument Manager and add the MSFT to your default instrument list.

Subsequently go to File-->New-->Chart. Double click the MSFT stock in the Data Series window and set the interval type to Daily.

Click Ok and check if the requested is loaded.

Thanks Jason, that was helpful. MSFT chart was loaded correctly.

Is there is any way to view stocks listed in NSE using Google Finance Data?
I tried on some symbols, but i was always getting an error, that it failed to retrieve data from Google.

I guess Google handles historical data in different way for different indices.

                  Hello Aumkar,

I tested the ICRA stock that is traded on the Nse exchange. However I was unable to load data while connected to Google.

Unfortunately it seems Indian stocks traded on the Nse exchange are not supported.

I set Exchange to Default and Nse. Set Currency to IndianRupee. I entered ICRA next to Google under the Misc-tab.

I suggest to try the same setup for a different stock traded on the Nse and check if you receive data. You can find the list of stocks at the following link.
